BENTLEY 8.B.V. Body No.B.283. (1) Front ends of bottom sides too close. Had to be beaten in to clear sides of chassis. (2) Not sufficient clearance allowed between chassis X member and metal flooring in centre of body. Body lifted 1/2" higher than would have been necessary had flooring been built higher. (3) Metal frame under rear seat cut away to clear silencer mounting. 1 1/2" too far back. (4) No provision on bottom sides for fixing front floor boards. (5) Cross rail of body under flooring of luggage boot fouled petrol filter mounted on chassis X member. (6) Defrosted ducts not airtight between tubular body rail below windscreen and outlets on to screen. (7) Dash lamps mounted on lower screen rail had to be refitted further away from instrument board to throw light on patch switches etc. Where required. (8) Leather for binding front floor carpet and dash carpet not supplied. (9) Cover for gear gate no supplied.
