- 3 - Dynamo. Brushes slightly too tight in holders. We have had no trouble with output of dynamo. Oil pump. This is working satisfactorily. Oil relief valve. This has been cleaned once since our last report. Oil pressure dropped at low speeds, after a long & fast run. A fine piece of foreign matter was found on valve seat, this not allowing valve to seat properly. Otherwise, it is O.K. Battery ignition. - Distributor contact screw uoil treated to prevent oxydisation. No oxydisation has taken place, & the contact points are in a good condition. Bonnet & fittings. The bonnet is in good condition. The depressions on dash board, as previously reported, have not increased. All bolts on bonnet strips are O.K. Engine guards. We have not had any wet weather since our last report, consequently the engine has kept fairly clean. We altered our guards, as we suggested, but have not had the conditions to get results. Gearbox undershield. This got slightly strained in refitting, & servo link fouled on bottom. This should be strengthened up, to prevent this happening. We have beaten the undershield out where link fouled, to give more clearance to same. Undershield protects gearbox from dirt & sand satisfactorily. Radiator to L.O.F. S. 53380. This is in good condition. Radiator & shutter controls to L.O.F. S.53990. These are still working satisfactorily. We have had no occasions to complain of rattles from same. Dashboard & brackets, "D" type, S. 52657, otherwise to L.O.F. S.5941. All bolts have remained tight since our last report. | ||
