RE CHASSIS NO. 1644.

This chassis, as you know, is to have certain parts fitted by the Experimental Department.

CWB. called in last night and stated that they wished the chassis to be delivered to the Coachbuilders as a standard 20 as quickly as possible. After the Coach-builders have fitted the body, then the car will come back to the Works for the Experimental Department to fit the necessary parts. The parts must not, in any case, be fitted prior to the chassis going to the Coachbuilders. CWB. stated it was their definite wish that the Coachbuilders should see no special parts. Will all arrange accordingly, and give me an idea when the chassis is likely to be ready for des-patch as a standard chassis?
