In reply to your memo EM15/26713, we wish to state we have not obtained the signatures for standardisation, Mr.Hives having reported adversely on them. The following is Mr.Hive's report :- "These did not keep the engine as clean "as the standard, and were very awkward if the "oil filler had to be cleaned or anything "under the car had to be got at. The "whole of the exhaust arrangement had to be "taken down before the undershields would "come off". p.
