WRAITH 111 - 25-C-V1.

Referring to HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}1/VS.{J. Vickers}6.9.37.

REAR AXLE 9 x 41 RATIO.

We have substituted the P.111 breather for the one complained of.
We are awaiting a reply from Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} to our query as to the general serviceability of the P.111 level plug before instructing this.
We are awaiting results from the new bronze differential pinion washers before making any modifications.

REAR BRAKES.

Dust Covers in aluminium. This was a suggestion from Experimental Department. We have always previously instructed dust covers in steel, and all our cars have them so. It appears to be necessary to revert to steel on Wraith, and would 'G' Dept. so instruct.

FRONT AXLE.

We agree to use Ex.L.201 on the Yoke Bottom Spherical Bearing and should be glad if 'G' Dept. would modify the details accordingly. We are sending a scheme for improving the lubrication of the top pivot bearing.

FRONT BRAKE & HUBS.

C.I. drums have now been instructed for both front and rear brakes, so that the liner troubles do not arise.

FRONT SUSPENSION.

Foul between lubricating coil pipe and triangle spindle bore. The pipe coil is covered with leather. It is difficult to understand the pipe fouling. Experimental could not produce the pieces. We could reduce the coil diameter or increase the bore to give more clearance. We are investigating, including the possibility of an outside coil. Breathers. We want some definite statement that the breathers can be dispensed with. If they are, can a suitable level of oil be obtained without much difficulty in filling. It will be
