Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} I telegraphed you as follows this morning. "MAY WE PLEASE HAVE DECISION ON USE OF CHNS FOR GLEASON BEVEL WHEELS AS RAISED IN Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} six W nine two twenty," and your reply has just come to hand, reading, "HAVE ALREADY AGREED TO CHNS FOR BEVEL GEARS SEE "R2/G11220." We have enquired from Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}, By and Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} and can find no trace of your note, R2/G11220 to which you refer. We are, however proceeding with CHNS Gears on receipt of your telegram. Evidently your note on this matter has never reached the Works and will you therefore kindly forward copies. Bn.{W.O.
