Requesting a fully dimensioned detail drawing of a top plate casting from Hobsons for petrol tank gauges.

With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG.27.3.29. and blueprints K.S.175.P and K.S.180.P. received from Hobsons in connection with the gauges they propose to supply for the 20 HP. and 40/50 HP. production chassis, it would seem that the seating which we provide on our petrol tanks requires some alteration to suit the new top plate casting which they propose to provide. Since receiving the above memo we have received a letter via. the Experimental Department from Hobsons, together with a blueprint of their drawing K.S.73.S showing plan view of the top casting in question, but the drawing does not show any other view, and since the blueprints handed to us by the Experimental Department show deeper bosses for the screws which hold the casting in position we should be glad if you would obtain from them a fully dimensioned detail drawing of the casting. It is very important that we receive this information for both the 20 HP. and 40/50 HP. chassis as quickly as possible, as the Works are producing petrol tanks. BY/Cgh.{W Clough} | ||
