Y 6152 Ha/Wst.14/MA. 22nd February, 1935. The Weston Electrical Instrument Co., Kingston-By-Pass, Surbiton, SURREY. For the attention of Mr.Davy. Dear Sir, On the occasion of your recent visit to our Works you shewed the undersigned a moving coil ammeter suitable for our chassis in place of the present standard moving iron type. We understand the objection to this instrument at the moment is that the zero adjuster on the front glass would foul the instrument board. Is it possible to supply this instrument without the zero adjuster at a reduced figure or do you consider that in your experience the provision of a zero adjuster is necessary. We believe that the zero will remain accurate for long periods without any adjustment but we should like to have your views. The moving coil ammeter is a big improvement with our new regulated system in damping needle oscillation. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
