With reference to conversation this morning re adoption of Ferranti Ammeters, the position is as follows:- 40/50-HP. The first chassis of 'U2' Series is due to test April 6th. Present standard ammeters have been ordered. The 26th chassis in 'U2' Series is due to test week ending May 25th. These ammeters have not yet been ordered. 20/25-HP Chassis - 'H2' Series. The first chassis is due to test week ending April 13th. The ammeters are all on order. 20/25-HP Chassis - J2 Series. The first chassis is due to test week ending July 7th. None of these ammeters have been ordered. Bentley Chassis - 'E' Series. First chassis is due to test week ending April 27th. Ammeters are on order. Bentley Chassis - 'F' Series. The first chassis is due to test week ending August 17th. Ammeters are not yet ordered. If it is intended to bring in the new ammeter on the 26th chassis in 'U2' Series we should have your instructions as soon as possible.
