We have today received the following cable from Mr. Lovesey, re. Sir Malcolm Campbell's 'Bluebird' car -

"RECORD BROKEN AT 272 MPH. MOTOR RAN PERFECTLY BEACH CONDITIONS BAD AND WHEEL SPIN 17 PER CENT. LAST RUN MADE THROTTLED DOWN AS WHEEL SPIN EXCESSIVE. TYRES CUT BADLY THROUGH SPIN. LOVESEY."
