REF: GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/Cms.6.25.

SERVO & FITTINGS.
These are all in a good condition.

SPHERE.
From outside examination this appears to be quite good. We have noticed no knock from the universal joint.

REAR AXLE.
As previously reported, there are bad growls at low and high speeds, both on picking up and retard. Rear shock absorbers are O.K. Brake operating mechanism - O.K. The two brake drum aluminium covers are badly knocked up by stones, which has allowed grit to enter drums, and has caused excessive wear of rear brakes. Also the drums themselves are badly scored.

PETROL TANK.
This has remained O.K. since soldering up the slight leak previously reported.

ELECTRICAL FITTINGS.
These, generally, as previously reported, are O.K. The connection to rear lamp has now given out entirely. We are having same replaced in Paris. The electrical cut-out has functioned quite O.K. since trimming up the points, as stated in our previous report. We have accidently broken one of the porcelain fillers on the accumulator.

REAR ROAD SPRINGS.
O.S. spring has got two leaves broken - one and three quarters inch rear of centre bolt. These are Nos. 2 and 5. We are having a new spring fitted in Paris. This spring has run 19,638 miles.

GENERAL EXAMINATION UNDERNEATH CAR.
Tie rod brkts., diagonal stays and brkts, rear spring main bearing supports, equalising shafts and brackets, bearings on intermediate shafts of servo, frame and cross tubes - these are all in good condition. The front equalising shaft for front brakes, the suspension which is carried by the rear front spring bracket - a fair amount of wear has taken place at this point.

FRONT BRAKE DRUMS.
These drums are badly scored, actual depth of the score, measured by micrometer, being 0.015". All the adjustment
