| ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT FOR B.35.AR - N.R. HALL'S CAR. 1. Dynamo dowel to be locked to prevent the dynamo body tending to turn lock the screws that secure the driving end bracket cover - spring washers to be fitted on the knurled thumb nuts securing the commutator cover. 2. Special cellulose covered H.T. wires. 3. Remove the 4 tail lamps and fit 2 lamps supplied by Mr. Hall, in the position as discussed with T.I. 4. Mount clock on instrument board(block supplied by Mr. Hall) Fit large petrol gauge on instrument board - also electrical oil gauge mounted in view of the driver and run the necessary cables. 5. Ph. III type Distribution Board LOP D.74832 Regulator cutout to LOP D.54562 - wing altered to suit all, fuses to be checked over, the caps to be re-soldered if necessary. 6. Two lamps for illuminating the engine to be mounted on the dash one on each side of the engine, in connection with same supply a flexible lead 6ft long fitted with a bayonet cap holder at one end and a lamp holder adaptor at the other. 7. Dynamo pinion brake blocks to be deleted. 8. Incorporate easy means of repairing any failure in the electrical wiring. Take lead from the positive terminal of battery to a terminal easily accessible on the outside of the car - which is to be shrouded with an insulating cover - Head lamps and tail lamps to have a visible terminal in the wiring as near the lamps as possible. If a failure occurs in some unknown place of the normal wiring between the switch and the lamp a length of insulated wire with a crocodal jaw at each end is clipped on to the new battery terminal and the lamp terminal. It is necessary for each wire between the fuse box and the headlamps to do only one job, so that a failure in the wire cannot put out more than one lamp. 9. Adjust bottom headlamps to get max area through guards in front bottom cowling. Wire each lamp to separate engraved switches on instrument panel. 10. Fit 3rd Horn on front Crossmember, using switch supplied by Mr. Hall. 11. Marchal Headlamps Bronze studs to be replaced by S/N. studs using existing wing nuts-studs to be flanged over at the ends so that the wing nuts cannot come off. | ||
