| THE TELEGRAPH CONDENSER CO.. LTD. CONTINUATION NO. DATE 5th April 1933 Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd. Derby We ask these questions since, if we are successful in developing this business with you we wish to give you an article which will carry a guarantee and, what is of course most important, avoid the possibility of breakdown. We should like to give our reasons for asking you to entrust us with this manufacture:- (a) We are regarded as the leading manufacturers of electrical condensers in this country, and, we believe, in the world. For example, the B.B.C. will use only our condensers in their transmitters, the reason being that they must not have breakdowns. (b) We are specialists in making condensers of all types, that is to say, we do not make any other product except static fixed condensers. (c) We lead in respect of research. This is exemplified by the enclosed Paper on the subject of Ionization, which plays a very important part in our power factor condensers. This will doubtless interest you at the present moment since you are considering the installation of power factor condensers in your factory. We may say that we are the only manufacturers to incorporate this theory in our products, and since this was introduced over 5 years ago we have had no breakdowns. We believe we are the only manufacturers who can claim immunity from breakdown. (d) Since we make condensers for all applications we have a very large experience of all types of conditions and dielectrics. Recently in our research laboratory we have had to study the following subjects in respect of condensers:- Diathermy X-Ray Split Phase Motor starting Amplifiers Motor-car Ignition Motor-bike Ignition Neon Signs etc. etc. | ||
