V.W. Pilkington, Esq.,
LEYLAND Motors Limited,
LEYLAND, Lancs:

Dear Pilkington,

Thank you for your letter of the 7th instant.

The biggest box we make will take 350 lbs ft. engine torque, and has a bottom gear ratio of .3.

We should be very glad to give you all the information we have on synchromesh boxes in general, to let you try cars with boxes so fitted, and to show you parts in process of manufacture.

We furthermore believe that we could get the Administration's agreement to sell you one of these gearboxes, if, after testing you found that it represented something that would be useful to you.

It would be convenient to discuss the matter with you at Derby on Wednesday of next week, December 15th, if this is suitable to you.

Yours sincerely,
