ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. 19 To Order No. III Customer's No. generated, all goes into the drum, due to the insulating nature of Ferodo, the brake drums are blue nearly to the flange on the shaft. I understand from Mr Bailey that the Ferodo people are now making a new material which is compressed more with the idea of preventing it swearing so rapidly. The silence & smoothness in these brakes is a great advantage over the cast iron & I consider we should try some of the new material with a drum which will not go out of truth.
