S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Copy to:- EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} 4417 CWB1/GM/2.12.27. Re: GALLOPING KNOCK - 84-LG. Confirming our telephone conversation of yesterday afternoon, we will hold 84-LG at your disposal provided it is decided that the knock in this engine is of the type which requires investigation. If this should not be the case, you will make good the trouble from which it is suffering and will also arrange to repair the damage which was caused by an accident on the evening of the 28th November, of which a report has been sent to W. In this matter, of course, the routine of consultation with the party who damaged the car must be carried out. It is understood that EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} will endeavour to come to London Monday 5th December in order to test this car, amongst other matters, and failing further information from him I will arrange to meet the 11 o'clock train at St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Pancras. CWB. | ||
