Dear Sirs,

For the attention of W.Bond Esq.

RUBBER ENGINE MOUNTING.

You will remember that you supplied us with rubbers for the rubber engine mounting on our 40/50 HP. car. We have now had some of these in service for 6 months, two of which we are returning to you under separate cover.

As fitted up in the mounting the rubber is compressed to 1.00". As supplied by you its free length is 1.150".

You will note that the two rubbers we are sending to you have taken a permanent set of .050". At the same time their rating has of course altered.

We should be obliged if you could go into the matter and see whether any other rubber compound would prove more durable.

We should also like your opinion as to whether the 1.150 set up is excessive, although you did not think this would cause any trouble in the first instance.

Yours faithfully,
