To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x8005 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}2/LG21.9.28. BUMP TEST. X8005 x7420 [text X8005 and x7420 are handwritten and struck through] The engine feet on the bump are moving excessively. We have also broken two bolts holding the top and bottom halves of the feet together. The next time the bump is stopped for a broken spring, therefore, we should be obliged if you could dismantle the present engine feet for examination, and fit a new pair of feet having reamered bolts and the present standard rubbers. Additionally, we should like the front axle drilled in the same way as that at present being fitted to 12-EX so that we can get an endurance test on this part.
