test. Material for alterations should not be ordered until the 10,000 miles test is successfully completed.

Thirdly, Mr. Royce is anxious to introduce as soon as possible the sub-frame. He does not necessarily confirm the opinion which has been formed that the sub-frame would reduce booming, but he does consider that the introduction of the sub-frame would be a great improvement so far as carriage-building is concerned.

CJ. expressed the opinion that material for the sub-frame should not be ordered until a complete car fitted with sub-frame has been successfully run for 10,000 miles in France.

It is understood that as regards the output programme it may be necessary to limit the X Series to 100 Chassis

Series | No. of Chassis in Series. | Chassis per week. | Date for ordering first batch of material. | Delivery to customer of 1st chassis of series as a complete car. | Delivery to customer of last chassis of series as a complete car.
--- | --- | --- | --- | --- | ---
V | 300 | -- | -- | -- | 24 Oct. 1925 Chassis Xmas 1925 Complete Car.
W | 200 | 10 | -- | -- | 9 Feb. 1926 Chassis 9 Apr. 1926 Complete Car.
X | 100 | 10 | 13 July 1925 | 10 Feb. 1926 Chassis 10 Apr. 1926 Complete Car. | 21 Apr. Chassis 21 June Complete Car.

It will be noticed that the first batch of material for Series X must be ordered on the 13th of July, - that is to say, 6 weeks hence. Novelties or improvements which have not passed their 10,000 miles test by that date will have a further 2 months in which to complete their trials in order to be included in the Y Series.
