Dear Sir,

Re: 3½ Litre Bentley Steering Gear.

At the time of writing, 5 p.m. there is every possibility that we shall be able to return this Steering Gear to you to-night. At the moment, there is a slight hold up in rivetting the Roller Assembly into the Rockershaft, due to the fact that the standard blocks in our Electric Rivetting Machine will not take your Rockershaft and consequently, we are having to hand rivet. We have every hope, however, that this will be through in time to despatch to-night, failing this, we will despatch per first available train to-morrow, writing you the time of train.

Rockershaft Adjusting Screw: The original Rockershaft Adjusting screw was of bronze and we notice that this shows signs of wear where the screw makes contact with the end of the Rockershaft. In view of the fact that we have recently modified the specification of this screw, the present ones being case hardened and cadmium plated, a more efficient job

Contd.......
