INSTRUCTIONS. 8253 28-3-1913 To Mr Royce Order No. Customer's No. Re Modifications at Rear of Box Double Brakes Fig 3 This is simply a driving scheme from 3rd motion shaft of box to Universal joint. The drive is taken on special dogs the bolts only holding the joint together the holes in U.J. fork being .030 clear of bolts in diameter. But the bolts are made taper & driven tight into 3rd motion shaft. I am inclined to make the flanges lighter than shewn, I think .275 instead of .300 each.
