INSTRUCTIONS. 8232 25 - 3 - 1913 To Mr Royce Order No. Customer's No. Re Rear of Gear box modification, Sheet II as we have not got the very high stresses due to the brake to deal with, I consider this arrangement quite satisfactory as far as strength is concerned, there is a large factor of safety, the fork would however be difficult to fit in to spigot. The Speedometer Pulley in this scheme is bolted to flanges. If it were thought desirable at any time to try & fix a damping scheme here, the behind gear box this scheme would make it difficult to arrange for Fig 2 The Propeller shaft is the same length as on our standard Car, two forms of driving are shown X & Y.
