WINDSCREEN WIPERS.

We are interested in the figures given in HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst3/MA/ 14-3-33.

We assume the Lucas wiper tested was of the RWL. pattern which, unfortunately, we cannot now fit because of coachwork restrictions.

As we mentioned to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid{A. J. Lidsey} when he was here a few days back, we recently saw Mr. Thacker of Messrs. Joseph Lucas, who informed us that Lucas are resuming development work on a wiper taking a positive drive from a remote motor.

Mr. Thacker shewed us the first experimental model, and we had to criticise is somewhat severely.

Mr. Thacker agreed with most of our criticisms and undertook to arrange for further experimental work to be conducted.

At his request we are arranging to send him a sample Klaxon as we think the method of drive, etc. would interest Lucas.

As for the time being at least we shall have to carry on with the fitting of the Klaxon, we shall be glad to learn what transpires as a result of your letter to the makers of the 3rd instant.
