* R to C.J & Wo, Bx. Progress with tests? Pass cures for 21-2-13. 1) springing 2) clutch/vibration 3) Torsional creak/rd drum (Coronation rattles) 4) Desperate efforts needed, no dilly dallying.

Radiator Tho Rad is the only possible one.

AW/TSH Exp Dept B weekly report to R.T. incl Pck lighting sets 22-4-13. Weight added: 564 lb. Removed: 519lb.

AW/SM. Rep. on 2301 Hines rep/its axle v.{VIENNA} good for silencer 22-4-13. a nite pulling a low op. Brakes v.{VIENNA} satisf.

* C.J & Na.{Mr Nadin} Put a double brake on the road at once. Run 200 22-4-13. miles a day, pref. in France, up to 10,000 miles, in 10 week. Poss. effect on Shelton not lake zero prod.

* Cooling - Present system is unsatisfactory.

R* r.axle control. ? spring coupling margin. 20-5-13. rel. costs 19-5-13 dutte. 72 mph. 2520 rpm. (Valves float at about 2250). For Brooklands demo 18/52 inst of 16/52. stronger valve springs. 20-5-13. Higher compr. (75 or 80 instead of 64). Large carbo. incl pipes. 26-5-13. For higher comp - Braile ka. Hand-lever under the car. 30-5-13. ? in steel. Try in 4 3/4" dia. 30-5-13

PISTONS Light R ref car that goes mountaineering. 3rd. Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} to D 7-6-13. This one car description - why & what. Pleased that R promises no major alts needed.

R to CJ ref car in lines of 2700. Asks Director Interlocutor? journey 1800 7-6-13. work. No brake adj needed. Hand adj. clear of gear. Existing re-done in white kit.

Vernier Footbrakes Adj at L.C. in June. needs a pit.

X2 Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/SM. Opinions on D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}-r.{Sir Henry Royce} brakes. CJ say yes. 10-7-13. Heavy landau body incl fast & heavy running on 2300 with on 21-7-13. of 3,228 miles - over 5,000 miles on Continent. Ref brake shoe materials page 11. 21-7-13.

29.4.13 FHR - " 2301 - completed 10,000 miles. Why do so many good things for us. Worth a risk.
5-5-13 FHR - 100 mph. up to 75 mph. Passed anything better.
28-5-13 FHR - R/T for mountaineering. Nothing to report. Going well.
10-6-13 FHR - Does not heat up any more than etc. while chassis is queer.
9-6-13 Hurst - dinner of 2301. v.{VIENNA} efficient. little wear. Wonderful improvement.

R to J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 31.7.13. By say D.R. brakes will meet all pub. br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} trouble. Ho freedom from bend. R is correct. Still experimenting. Try SINGLE HELICAL BEVELS, but have little faith in double helical.
