We arrived here this evening with plenty of work ahead of us to make all car possible. The carburettor gave us trouble at Rouen the float stuck, binding of the bridge piece on its bearing the cause, contact also failed again all clearance taken off. The Oil Pressure failed through heavy consumption had to buy before reaching Chartres.
Oil Temperature reached 106°C after 5 miles at 70MPH it was 100° most of the time with a very cold wind.
This is impossible. The maximum speed seems to be 70, got 75 occasionally carburettor metering is all wrong at present two or three definite weak places.
