To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to O.J. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} W EFC.< ORIGINAL. EFC RECEIVED JAN 19 1922 X 4264 R3/G17/1/21. D 21. JAN. 1921 RECEIVED (4) RE "GOSHAWK" STEERING WHEEL. I think the pattern of our steering wheel might be improved. Instead of a single web underneath the middle of the spoke, two webs would make a better job, and look more robust, and therefore the arm would be channel section, and would stand terrific torque. Please let me have a drawing for the improved "Goshawk II" wheel is to replace the present one reported to be too fat in the rim, and rather small in diameter. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
