c. to EFC. RE - CHASSIS 26-UE. GARDINER. --------------------------- Further to your memo' D/BP/LH{Mr Haworth}1/B28.4.22 and Y/S 41264, we have now examined the faulty 12 volt Exide Battery returned by Messrs. Barker ex. the above. The cell cases and plates appear to be in order and in good condition, the only fault apparent is 3 broken cell tops. These have been replaced from our spares and the battery has been placed in our working stock owing to its charged condition. There is nothing to show how these cell tops became damaged but it is certain that this battery did not leave here damaged when the chassis was originally despatched. Will you therefore charge Messrs. Barker's with the cost of these new cell tops and credit Order Number 724 accordingly. | ||
