Huckerby} Dear Sirs, We duly received your favour dated 23rd inst., concerning the Speedometer for the Warner gearbox. We have been in touch with Messrs. Chrysler Motors, Ltd., on the subject, and the following is an extract of their letter which came to hand this morning:- "In reply we have pleasure in quoting for a Speedometer pinion at 10/9d retail, with 16-17 or 18 teeth. The 16-tooth pinion is not available from stock but can be obtained in a few days, if required." If you decide to order one of these pinions we believe it will be advisable for you to ascertain from Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., particulars of any numbers on the Speedometer gear, so that we can make quite certain of supplying a pinion which will mesh correctly. If you can let us know the part number stamped on the 6-tooth worm gear in the transmission we can take the matter a step further. You will appreciate that until we can determine the revs. per mile of the Speedometer cable we cannot quote you for the equipment involved. Yours faithfully, PER PRO.
