Herewith is LeC.5070 shewing the application of rubber bushes to the front end of the rear springs in their present position, i.e. not dropping the front end. This enables the rubber bush arrangement to be fitted to existing cars with the least possible alteration. The bracket forging can be made by modifying the existing dies, and will go on the existing frame fixing. A new top plate for the rear spring is required and provided the additional cost is not too great, we should prefer this to have solid eyes. The spring lubrication scheme will follow the lines of LeC.4927 for the front end and remain present standard for rear ends. It will be noticed that the front end of the gaiters is slightly modified.
