Messrs.Rolls-Royce,Ltd., Date 23.4.29. Page 3 with these last two instruments has been in this direction. It might also be worth while ascertaining whether the outer frame of the instrument is a free fit in the wooden facia board, as if it were a tight drive-in fit, it might possibly distort the frame unit sufficiently to put a strain on the glass tube in this particular installation.
