Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Davis.

Further to your letter of the 31st. ult. BY/RD1/W., and our telephone conversation of to-day's date, in connection with the fracture of two dipping unit brackets on P.100 Headlamps, we confirm our statement that we have made enquiries from our Service people who report that such occurrences are practically non-existent. As you no doubt know we have made large quantities of these lamps with the dipping unit incorporated.

We understand also that the question of dipping units as P.100 Lamps are under a review at your end and therefore, under these circumstances we would suggest that at this stage, the question of re-designing this unit should be held in abeyance.

We should appreciate your supplying us with the information regarding the return of the second dipping unit referred to in your letter as we cannot trace having received it at this end.

Trusting that this will be satisfactory to you and assuring you of our best attention at all times,

We are,

Yours faithfully,
JOSEPH LUCAS, LIMITED,
