SERIES 'B' ROAD SPRINGS. ------------------------------------- Will you kindly note that it has been agreed that we shall fit the large rolled eye type of top plate to the rear springs, but fit the bronze bush (LeC.5086). The scheme for this is RR.Sch. 934. The springs will be delivered with bronze bushes, so that if later it is desired to use a rubber bush to prevent tyre noise, no additional cost would be incurred in the direction of the production of a new top plate. Also the rubber pads between the rear axle and the road springs should be brought in with these. This is going on production as the result of a decision at the Conference that the top plate should be made to take either a bronze bush or the rubber bush, and the test has been run in parallel with altering the material.
