28 - EX.

We are holding the car up for the following reasons:

1. Cylinder head dismantled, recutting all exhaust valve seats, because they have distorted, Nos. 1,3 & 5 being the worst.

2. Front engine mounting fitted - cross bar only.

3. Engine filter and hydraulic tappet filter, latter choked up with sludge, cleaned.

4. Spare wheel brackets - tightening up of bolts and replacing broken bolt. Both brackets in frame NS.{Norman Scott} broken through bolt hole.

5. Rear brakes, toggles let out, all outside adjustments taken up.

6. Side engine trays taken off, broken completely away from engine.

7. Front and rear wings - patched up and all lost screws replaced.

The car will be ready for testing this evening.
