Swindell} 1124 Files BY.2/G.10.2.38. CYLINDER LINER MATERIAL. I am satisfied with the cylinder liner material (high phosphorous type)referred to in RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/VS.{J. Vickers}2/JT.7.2.38. and covered in regard to :- (a). Analysis. (b). Structure. (c). Hardness. in Laboratory report H1/EJW.6/JN.5.2.38. I would suggest you run off half a gross of these, and have them inspected and then machined to satisfy ourselves that we can obtain the product as per sample regularly, when I would on completion be prepared to issue instructions to make the liners at our Works.
