Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of December 11th, together with the copy of your correspondence.

We cannot trace having any drawings of the original propellor shaft which you submitted to us, showing modifications made to this shaft in producing the lightened shaft which we have at present on test.

We believe the saving in weight is in the nature of 4 lbs., and should like to know exactly where this was removed from the shaft.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
