86044. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA. 7th December, 1933. Messrs.Joseph Lucas Ltd., Great King Street, Birmingham, 19. For the attention of Mr.C.E.Robinson. Dear Sir, With reference to your letter of the 22 nd. ultimo ref.CER/W we have now received regulator No.15128 back again and same has been tested. We find however that the volt-ampere characteristics exceed our specification limits. For instance the regulator requires 15 amperes at 13 volts to cause it to operate cold and 16 amperes at 13 volts warm whereas our max. limit (warm) is 14 amperes. There does appear to be considerable variation in the results we obtain from these regulators and we should be glad if you will tighten up the inspection at your end to ensure more consistent results. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
