Dear Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer},

Stanliand has been on the telephone this afternoon to say his brakes are now juddering badly and are dangerous, and can I do anything. I have told him repeatedly to get in touch with you, but the difficulty is he can't afford to do without his motor car. Do you feel, in the kindness of your heart, disposed to let him have some barge whilst you try his car and try to rectify his alleged trouble.

Lp.{Mr Lappin}
