-2- (5) DASH BRACKETS. O.K. for 100 sets. (6) FLOOR BOARDS. O.K. for 100 sets. (7) PRESS PIPE, HYDRAULIC JACKS, PEDALS. O.K. for 100 sets. (8) PETROL PIPES & PUMP. We are fitting the first six to F.C.D.111 & 112. It will obviously be unwise to make 100 sets of these pipes until we have had some more running, particularly as some sort of screen has to be incorporated to prevent water getting on the pump. (9) OIL PUMP & PIPES. We can release 100 sets. (10) REAR ROLL ROD & SHOCK DAMPERS. We have released six only to F.W.1085. This rectifies a fault encountered in France where the connection to the roll rod of the axle broke loose, but we do not know as yet whether it will entirely overcome the trouble, therefore, we cannot release 100 sets. (11) PETROL TANK. There is a query about the strap chafing the tank in a certain place. For this reason we do not want to release more than six sets to F.C.D.88. (12) SUSPENSION. With the exception of the cast steel pots, and the ham bone drilling to Ex.I.201, we can release 100 sets of parts if the Works want to start making them. We think the cast steel pots want some more testing before we can say 'go ahead'. (13) FRONT BRAKES & HUBS. Clearly until we have solved the squeak and the steering shock problem it is unwise to release more than six sets. | ||
