Watford IS12 aero magnetos.
A pair of these magnetos Nos. 98033/4. have run 53 hours in the course of a type test on 714S-13 and would have continued but for a breakdown of the engine.
We have examined these magnetos, completely dismantling one of them for inspection, and found them to be in perfect condition. The contact breaker wear on the platinum points was negligible with no signs of burning due to ingress of oil vapour.
As a result of this and other tests we have made, our confidence in this new type Watford aero
