-2- Panelling. The whole shell, after gussetting and plating to be panelled in sheet steel (S.W.G.20) with no quirks. Rear boot lid{A. J. Lidsey} panelled in aluminium. The doors to be panelled in steel above the waistline and in aluminium below. Doors. The doors to be as thin as possible at the jamb by the use of Bentley locks. The lock jamb to be reinforced by a plate of sheet steel (S.W.G.16) to prevent the door from warping due to the weakened section at the lock. Doors hinged on centre pillar. Simple outside hinges bolted to the centre pillar, and to the door. Ferodo top and bottom doorstops with a central Ternstedt Dovetail to all doors. Door check stops of P.W. Bentley pattern bolted on. Interior plate carrying the window lift gear to be of sheet aluminium S.W.G.12. Ford Type ventilating windows to front windows with single operating handle. Bentley door locks with interior handles on the lock spindles to the front doors and remote control to the rear. All interior handles to be of the same approved design. Glass in all doors to be Triplex Toughened, of 3/16th.ins. thickness. Screen. Park Ward opening screen of Triplex laminated glass, 3/16th.ins. thick. Head. All corners of sunshine roof opening to be rounded and gussetted with steel plates. Latest approved design of Sunshine Roof with deepened eddy-free front. Sunshine roof tray to be in steel S.W.G.22 with diagonal swaging. The sunshine roof slide to be used as a wireless aerial. Cornice lip in one with the panel and extending down screen pillar to waist line. Sunshine roof shield of sheet aluminium to be turned over a steel strip at the forward end and the fixing at the front to be by countersunk screws into a metal plate. Contd: | ||
