| -3- 14. Front Tyre Wear. This should be compared with Phantom II, 10,000 miles best results in France on which peculiar rapid wear has been experienced from time to time. 15. Throwing rear passengers up over hump backed bridges. Complete designs issued and production chassis instructed to be convertible to auto lock system. 16. Tyre Noise. Experiments with different tyres and wheels in hand. Alternative design of wheel and hub already on test and two other types following. Experiments required on chassis frame and coachwork resonance. 17. Clutch. Clutch with short spline opposite disc should give best results to N.Sch.4578/8.8.35. 18. Steering. Modifications to lead angle and bearings being tried. Lower ratio may be necessary. 19. Brakes. Substituted Oilite bushes in places for needle bearings which should improve operation. 20. Fan. This is being investigated. The Cadillac fan takes up a lot of room. 21. Luffing Up. No design alteration until further information available. 22. Shock Damper Rattles. Much trouble was experienced by Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} with the L.H. rear damper on trials cars. We intend to instruct for trial some silentbloc type link/bearings.
