Dear Sirs, We have now had an opportunity of examining the faulty K.{Mr Kilner} S. 180 gauge which the writer brought back with him, and we are happy to say that it was not a glass tube breakage on this occasion, but a definite breakdown. The clearances in the body casting were hardly sufficient in our opinion, and caused this breakdown.
