6003 To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.10/AP.18.11.36. With reference to our discussion as to the necessity of a supporting clip for the capillary tube of the rubber mounted thermometer on the 25/30 HP. We would mention that the thermometer (mounted to scheme LeC.5060) which recently completed 15,000 miles in France on 22.G.V. has no supporting clip whatever mounted off the engine and has given no trouble from breakage.
