Attention: Mr. Manning.

Gentlemen:-

Confirming telephone conversation of late yesterday we will ship your gears as follows:-

10 pairs July 31st.
30 pairs August 5th.

and 60 pairs per week thereafter until we get well under way on the order.

We may discontinue night work in our cutting later on in which case we will cut down to about 40 pairs per week. This, however, will not be until after we have shipped 300 or 400 pairs of gears.

As explained, we are cutting steadily on the ring gears but were delayed somewhat with the pinions. We held up production until after we completed the samples and then some changes were necessary in the tooling.

We feel safe, however, in assuring you now that shipments will come along regularly.

Gleason Works.
