The problems we have on J.3 which need design attention are :-

(1) Engine mounting and torque reaction dampers.

(2) Modified slipper wheel.

(3) Scheme for overcoming brake thumps.

We have in hand at the present time modifications which incorporate the new carburetter, induction pipe, modifications to petrol pump, shock absorbers and silencer. We have an engine running with the automatic adjustable tappets and they appear as though they are going to be satisfactory.
