DATES Art. 3. - The dates of the Le Mans 24 hours (I6th. Reliability Grand Prix) will be Saturday I7 th. June and Sunday I8th. June I939 subject to their approval by the Calendar Congresses. The start will be given on the Saturday at 4 p.m. ENTRIES Art. 4. - The events enumerated in article one of the regulations will be open to manufacturers and private individuals. A maximum of sixty vehicles may take part. The I4th. Biennial Rudge-Whitworth Cup is exclusively reserved for competitors qualified in the eliminating race run on the I8th. and I9th. June I938. Plural entries are permitted and the same competitor with the same vehicle may, in I939, compete both in the I6th. Reliability Grand Prix, in the second race for the I4th. Biennial Rudge-Whitworth Cup, in the first race for the I5th. Biennial Rudge-Whitworth Cup and in the annual performance index race but a competitor, being a manufacturer, may only enter in the final event of the I4th. Biennial Cup a number of cars of his make corresponding to the number of qualifications obtained by him in I938. On the other hand, a private competitor, qualified for the final of the I4th. Biennial Cup, may only enter a number of cars equal to that of his qualifications. Nevertheless, a private competitor is at perfect liberty to choose the make or makes of the car or cars he desires to enter. There were I7 (seventeen) qualifications in I938 for the I4th.
