F.{Mr Friese} DODD RC{R. Childs} 6116 DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}19/C.11.3.38. UNDER BONNET LIGHTING. ALL CHASSIS. It is intended to utilise the Lucas Inspection Lamp for the underbonnet lighting, instead of the fixed lamp made with a standard warning light assembly now instructed. The idea is to provide a permanent socket and switch attached to the engine side of the dash and that the inspection lamp should be hung in a convenient position nearby, preferably underneath the switch. D.CD.535 shews the proposed assembly of the switch and plug, which can be detailed and instructed experimentally, the actual position on the dash, as well as the fixing and position of the inspection lamp, being determined by trial on each car. Lucas provide a clip for their lamp, which is being sent to us and may turn out to be suitable. Noted DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
