With regard to the dimension of 2-1/16" mentioned in my Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}3/KW10.3.38, this figure was obtained from the modification of the plunger as fitted to the car Lp.{Mr Lappin}drives.
Mr.Thacker of Lucas', to whom I had also mentioned this, states that the 2 1/16" plunger is the original standard giving a dip in excess of what we are now asking.

That seems strange, because the plunger of this length as fitted to Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car definitely gives the reduced dip as already referred to.

I understand, however, that you are arranging with Lucas' for future supplies of headlamps to have the reduced amount of dip, and no doubt you will see that this is definitely secured, as the results seem to be more appreciated and more useful.
