3. Ignition System

The two systems of R-R and Delco-Remy were discussed and samples of each were available. It was clear that the car which goes to France shortly must have the Delco-Remy distributor. The discussion revealed that we should probably find it possible after all to use the Delco-Remy provided that the large label on the samples need not be attached. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} was to get a fresh quotation for this on the basis of a quantity of 500. The question of cost is very much in favour of the Delco-Remy article.

4. Wind Noises

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} pointed out that at the meeting at the Works with Park Ward's representative and a representative from S. it seemed quite clear that wind noises are very largely preventable by proper methods. A list of the points to which special attention should be given to prevent wind noises will be prepared by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and sent to S. so that they can be applied to all cars and by all Coachbuilders. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} stressed the importance of all body inspectors and testers having this, and of Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} reviewing it every three months to ensure points not being lost sight of.

5. 26-G-VI (15,000 miles car)

7. Problems

A list of points which were being investigated by Experimental Dept. was given and discussed, and further information on these points should be forthcoming at the next Meeting. The points
