- 4 - WRAITH 7. (contd) in question are as under :- 1. Engine mounting 2. Tightening of steering pivots. 3. Suspension noises. 4. Piston scuffing. 5. Oil consumption 6. 3rd gear jumping out of mesh 7. Cold starting. 8. Brake Squeaks This matter was dealt with fully in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}5/MH{M. Huckerby}13.1.38, and after discussion it was agreed that an experimental four shoe brake should be made for Wraith front axle. BENTLEY 1. "M" Series Overdrive Gearbox It was decided that the overdrive gearbox could be introduced on production at the 101st in "M" series. Modified camshaft It was also decided that the modified camshaft, as was fitted to and tested on 6-B-IV, would be introduced at the same time. 2. Pressed steel wheels This has now developed into steel disc wheels, and at a later date a car fitted with them will be available so that their appearance,etc. can be criticised. 3. 6-B-IV It is expected that this car will proceed to France by the end of the present week. | ||
